This post is a quick follow-up to a previous post about how dogs react to diapers. In that post, I explain how I’ve only had a dog react to a diaper once (it was really the pee that had leaked from it, though).
However, disposed diapers are different from in-use diapers. One of the reasons I was worried about how dogs would react to my diapers at first was because they like to pee when they smell pee. Certainly, a disposed diaper is more like a pee puddle than an in-use diaper, so worry about them is justified.
Personally, I use a wire mesh trash can in my room to dispose of my diapers. This means, aside from throwing my used diapers on the floor, that I’m making my diapers as easily-accessible to dog noses as possible. Yet, I’ve never had a dog react unfavorably to them. One of my dogs has smelled the used diapers before, but never in a worrisome way–i.e. never in a way different from how he smells my other trash.
So, more good news for potential or current diaper users worried about how dogs might react to diapers! Of course, my sample size for this post was even smaller than it was for my last post about dog reactions, but I still feel good about my findings and I hope they put your mind to rest too.
Have you had dogs react favorably or unfavorably to your disposed diapers? Please leave me a comment to let me know or talk about any related subject!

Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
